El proyecto se inició en el marco del confinamiento del dos mil veinte y aborda las nociones de protección y desprotección dentro de la intimidad de la casa. A través del trabajo con la materia busca hacer visible una dimensión de fragilidad que vulnera la estructura de un espacio aparentemente estable. Pensar la casa desde su dimensión simbólica nos da la oportunidad de conocernos en la medida que reconocemos los atributos del espacio que habitamos.
Las obras anudan la escultura, el cuerpo y el espacio para comunicar desde estructuras inacabadas o desagregadas. El plano del techo sobre el cual se emplazan las piezas se presenta como el gran eje conductor del trabajo mostrando como contrapunto a las piezas elaboradas por la artista un contexto urbano, erguido, de arquitectura lisa.
Genesis is a project made within the framework of the 2020 confinement that addresses the notions of protection and lack of protection within the privacy of the house. It seeks to make apparent a dimension of fragility that violates the structure of a seemingly stable space. To think about the house from its symbolic dimension gives us the opportunity to get to know our own person as we recognize ourselves in the attributes of the space we inhabit.
The project ties together body, sculpture and space to communicate from unfinished or disaggregated structures. The ceiling on which the pieces are placed is presented as the great guiding axis of the work, presenting the viewer an urban, upright context, with smooth architecture as a counterpoint to the pieces made by the artist.

La siguiente intervención se realizó en la azotea de mi apartamento, a partir de un mapa de palabras que hice para describir mi entorno inmediato. El mapa mostrado arriba (Casa (un mapa)) se realizó desde el interior del apartamento en el que viví durante la pandemia.
The following intervention was done on my apartment’s rooftop, based on a word map I made of my surroundings. The map is shown above (House (a map)) and was done from the inside of the apartment I lived in during the pandemic.
